Cape Clear seek to introduce small firm representation on Web services

With nominations open for two seats on the board of directors for the Web Services Interoperability (WS-I) organisation Cape Clear Software, a Californian provider of Web services technology and member of WS-I, has announced that it has nominated its chief scientist, Jorgen Thelin, in advance of the March elections.

Cape Clear has nominated Thelin in an attempt to introduce representation of small and medium sized firms on the WS-I board which is currently comprised of directors from Accenture, BEA Systems, Fujitsu-Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, Intel IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and SAP. Despite the current board representation of large firms, over 90% of WS-I members are small- or medium-sized firms.

Thelin is a member of the WS-I basic profile group and works on technologies and standards at Cape Clear.
